Exceptional Coffee Meets Global Demand

Exceptional Coffee Meets Global Demand

Who we are

Our journey did not begin at export. It began in the field.

Our work is grounded in cultivation, processing, and preparation at origin, allowing us to stay closely connected to quality at every stage. By operating across the value chain, we are able to deliver export-ready coffee while maintaining consistency, traceability, and attention to detail.

Our Story

Besmark was built from hands-on experience in coffee farming, where understanding quality and production began at origin. What started with farming evolved into coffee trading, then expanded into processing through hulling to create greater value within Uganda.

That journey across the coffee value chain eventually led to export, shaping who we are today, a company committed to delivering quality Ugandan coffee to international markets while supporting long-term growth and staying connected to the communities behind it.

Coffee Defined by Uganda

A curated selection of Ugandan coffees

Our Range of Ugandan Coffee

Uganda’s highlands and lake basin regions produce coffees with distinct character — from bold, grounding Robusta to refined, aromatic Arabica.

1. Natural Ugandan Robusta Coffee

We source coffee directly from trusted farming communities across Uganda, ensuring traceability, consistency, and alignment with buyer specifications.

Origin: Lake Victoria Basin, Uganda.
Species: Coffea canephora.
Altitude: Lowland growing regions.
Tasting Profile: Deep bitterness, low acidity, heavy body, strong cup presence.
Best For: Industrial coffee processing, instant coffee production, espresso blending, and bulk commercial roasting due to its high caffeine content and strong cup profile.

2. Natural Ugandan Arabica Coffee

Grown on the rich volcanic slopes of Mount Elgon, Bugisu Arabica expresses elegance and clarity. Each cup carries bright acidity and refined aroma — a signature of East Africa’s high-altitude coffees.

Origin: Mt. Elgon (Bugisu region), Uganda
Species: Coffea arabica.
Altitude: High altitude slopes.
Tasting Profile: Clean flavor, floral aroma, wine-like acidity, smooth finish
Best For:
Specialty green coffee export, single-origin roasting, and commercial roasting operations requiring clean flavor profiles and moderate acidity.

3. Washed Uganda Arabica Coffee

This Arabica undergoes wet processing — pulping, fermentation, and washing — revealing the bean’s pure structure. The result is a bright, transparent cup that highlights origin without distraction.

Origin: Uganda highlands.
Species: Coffea arabicaProcess: Fully washed.
Tasting Profile: Clean cup, crisp acidity, structured flavor clarity.
Best For: Specialty-grade export markets, filter coffee programs, and buyers requiring consistent quality, clean cup characteristics, and wet-processed Arabica.

WHY UGANDA AND WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO

Uganda produces both Arabica and Robusta coffee across varied altitudes and fertile soils, supported by a long coffee-growing tradition that enables diverse cup profiles and consistent supply for international markets. We strengthen the coffee value chain within Uganda by supporting local production systems and improving access to global markets, contributing to higher farmer incomes and long-term sustainability in coffee-growing communities. When value is retained in Uganda, growth becomes more inclusive and sustainable.
